Does anyone know of a DVD or set of DVDs that teach step by step how to use Photshop Elements 5.0 for PC and for Photoshop Elements 4.0 for MAC?

Hello and welcome Richard! There are many videos in the subscriber area! If you are not a subscriber, I feel like you are missing so much, you also get a newsletter about every 8 weeks! It's a great step to take, and well worth it! Hope this helps!

Richmond,
Welcome to the forum!
I agree with smiles, subscribing to the newsletter is the way to go! In each newsletter there are several tutorials on how to use Elements. The newsletters are mailed to your home 8 times per year.
The subscriber area has over 200 videos on different subjects of elements and there are over 100 written tutorials.
Another option, if you do or do not subscribe, you can get Corey Barkers Elements Killer Tips either here (click on the subscriber link at top, you will find the Killer Tips on the upper right corner) or you can get Killer Tips thru iTunes.

I agree with the others but would like also to plug Linda Sattgast over at Scrapper's Guide. Her instructional videos are excellent and if you start with volume 1 they provide an reasoned approach. The website is:
http://www.scrappersguide.com/ She has some free stuff as well as a subscriber area. The subscriber area offers monthly videos and tuts as well as scrapping papers, alphabets, decorations etc.

Hi ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
There isn't a lot of difference between the Mac version and the Windows one (except the Organiser) .. so no problem there.
I too would suggest tthat you subscribe here, try out the tutorials (there are lots of them) and ask questions on the forum when you get stuck. Donlt worry we will all help :)

Like everyone else I also recomend a subscription. I'm a new subscriber myself. I can honestly say that it's been my best investment for learning & understanding PSE.
Run, don't walk to sign up!!!

Richmond,
I am also new to PSE5 and am taking the online layers class. It is helping. I am the type of person who needs the step-by-step approach and I'm finding that some of the training on this site is not exactly step-by-step all the time - at least for me. I do find the newsletters are more step-by-step for my taste. I have a PSE for Dummies book which I supplement the online training with. Good luck.
