I've posted two new pictures in my gallery using a technique where you take several shots with your camera on a tripod and then make one composite picture using layers. I was pleased with the outcome.

Great results! I'm partial to the 'raking leaves' one.

Was the tut from the newsletter Lights Camera Couch?
Vol 4 Number 3?

I like the raking leaves one too! Yes, I used the tutorial from the newsletter Vol 4 Number 3 "Lights Camera Couch". It is a fun process and I love playing with it. Hope you give it a try!

Susan

P.S. I really like the layouts in your gallery.

Susan, what fabulous photos. The children are precious.

I have wanted to do this with my grandchild also, can you tell me what tut/plug-in you used?

I have tried cutting out his image and pasting, but it looks too artifical.

Thanks, Kimmer

Hi Kimmer,
If you subscribe to the Elements Techniques Newsletter, the tutorial is in Volume 4 Number 3. It is called "Lights, Camera, Couch." If you don't get that, the best way I can explain it is: Take a number of photos (depending on how many times you want the individual in one photo) using a tripod so that the background stays exactly the same in each photo. Then, you open the photos and put each one on a separate layer (one over the other). Starting at the top, reduce the opacity of the top photo so you can see the next one under it. Then you just need to erase the area in the top photo so the next one appears with the top one. Then I merge these two layers and continue on until all the photos are on one layer. It is really simple and you don't have any diffiuclt selecting and pasting. I hope this makes sense to you. Sometimes I have trouble explaining how I do things. I really love this technique and will probably tire out my grandchildren trying to get new and interesting composites! Thanks for your comments.
