Hi
I have PE 1 was tring to learn how to use the pan and zoom. It was
very confusing to me so I gave up and went back to my old slideshow
program.
Does anyone know if PE 2.0 has made the pan and zoom any easier to
use. The intro say a few clicks...?
Thanks for any help!

Hi,
PRE 2.0 has presets for pans and zooms :)
I prefer to keyframe them by hand, but thats just me.
You can use the presets in 2.0 to accomplish this effect

Hi Tami
Thanks...so if I understand correctly, "presets" would be like a same pan
left to right or a zoom from one start point to an end point. Each time I
select that preset the pan or zoom will be the same on each photo or clip?
And the "keyframe" is when you can control the pan or zoom on each
photo differently as you see fit?
I think this is where I gave up before...keyframing (before finding this site). Do you know of a tut that explains keyframing?
Thanks again, your help along with this site is just great!!! :D

Hi:)
Yes, your understanding of presets is correct they are already set up for you to do the same thing each time....unless you play with the settings
Keyframing...is where you do what the preset does yourself, instead of using a preset.
There is a whole section on keyframing in the PRE online training course that was launched today. It was 3 lessons if I remember correctly you can check the outline to see the number of lessons on that topic.
There is one on explaining keyframing one on preset keyframes and one on*do it yourself* keyframes:) (I just checked the outline)
Let me know if you have other questions!

Okay, I got it...thanks. I think I will sign up for that online course
a little later for next time.
I just finished a DVD slideshow (about 300+ photos/video clips) that will be shown in about 2 weeks. Therefore, I wouldn't have enough time to
go through the 21 day course and create another DVD.
Are there any books you might recommend that explains keyframing re:
pan and zoom. I don't recall the manual that came with the program to be
any good. I better hit the book stores.
Thanks,
