I am in awe of Kev's background papers using the seamless tile technique. Kev, or anyone for that matter, can you please step me through from the very beginning when you first decide on a picture to use? I'm just not getting it! I have Quick Tile installed, but I need help before I get to that point.

Thanks so much.

Carol,
I'll try to write a tut but you will have to bear with me as I figure out the best way to do it, will let you know as soon as it's done.

Jen,
a quick tile is a filter that enables you to make seamless tile.
You can see a paper I made using it at -

Judy,
if you send me a PM with your email address I'll send you the tut that I've done. It may help.

I use the tile filter in Simple Filters (http://http://www.btinternet.com/~cateran/simple/) for mine.

In the case of a tile such as his, I do not believe you need a filter. Making a pattern would work and I have a tutorial for that here (http://http://www.hummiesworld.com/tutorials.html#anchor_83).

Hi ...

Dave Cross did a Video showing you how to do seamless tiling ... its in the Subscriber Area>Videos and its called Patterns (21st January 2005)

Also if you go into the Sunscriber Area>Tutorials you will see one called making patterns from Custom Shapes & Brushes ... that should help too :)

Hummie,
I use the simple filter too, but when you are making tiles from tubes they all come down to use the pattern tool in Elements.
My tut is to try to help other members to be able to make seamless tiles from scratch and also includes how to use patterns. By the way your link for your tut doesn't work.
