Is there a way that a Word doc (of a few or several lines, e.g. poetry) can be imported into PSE 4? FYI, I use a mac. I understand that this is possible. Can't find anything on it in the PSE manuals nor in the "help" menu for PSE.

The alternative, in order to be able to control kerning, is to type up text, line by line, in the PSE doc, each line on a different layer. I have done this and it is a hassle especially when you try to go back and select each line/layer to change the font, text size, etc.

Thanks!

Copy and paste into a text box is the way I always do it with a PC. I assume Mac's would work the same.

Elizabeth,
You can highlight and copy a block of text in Word and go to Elements and click on the Text Tool, position the cursor and paste (CTRL-V) that entire block.

Tony,
I do not know if Mac PSE4 has a text box.

Tony and Juergen,

I did just as you suggested: I selected the text in the Word doc, copied it, opened the PSE doc, selected the Text tool, pasted, and voila! the new layer appeared with my text. I had adjusted the text size, and leading in Word, and it pasted beautifully into the PSE document.

So simple, really, and I had assumed it was much more complicated!

Thanks so much!
