I used the paint a selection tool for the first time, yeah. Anyway some of my selection is blue where it should be white. Any thoughts? Should I just clone over those areas or can I paint them? I tried the painting and it wasn't working for me. It's a pretty tight selection, a facemask on a football helmet, but the some of the white is blue. Thought I'd post it. I don't know if you can see it or not but it's around the facemask. I may not use this image anyway, after all that, but I'd still like to know how to fix it. Thanks

I tried removing the blue around the faceplate on the helmet and the shirt. I used the selection brush and selected the helmet and then put the selection on its own layer and then went to Enhance, lighten. I may have lightened it too much. i did the same thing w/the shirt. I'm sure there are hundreds of ways to remove but this way is the easiet for me. You could also use an adjustment level.

Hi Brenda,
- Pull down "Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation"
- Boldly decrease Saturation (approx to "-90"). Yes, this desaturates the whole image.
- Press [Ctrl+I] to invert the adjustment layer mask color. This completely hides the desaturation effect
- Activate the Brush Tool
- Select white foreground color
- Paint over shirt, socks, and other white areas to desaturate them

Hi Brenda ...
Try this :
Create a new layer above the imge Layer>New>Layer
Change its blend mode to colour
Select white as your foreground colour and then paint over the area ...
That should work just fine :)
