Used Kev's Colored Pencil Sketch Tut on the Larwood Covered Bridge. I found this very cool tut yesterday in one of folders.

John,
I love it, especially in color. I guess you know I really love sketches. How far back is this tutorial? Could you give the steps to do it?
Thanks
Christell

To find tuts for sketch---go to subscribers page and click on videos. Where it says search, type in sketch and click on search. You will get two tuts, one by Dave Cross and one by Matt K. Both have the same method but with different options.Have fun---BillandCat

Coloured Pencil Sketch Tut

Hi,
people who have tried the Coloured Pencil filter have never tried it again because it is so disappointing. I hope that this tut will redress this.

1 Open your image. Ctrl J to duplicate. Go to Filter - Artistic - Coloured Pencil. Use these settings, Pencil Width 6, Stroke Pressure 12, Paper Brightness 50. Click OK.
2 Select Background layer, Ctrl J, drag copy layer to top of layers stack.
Go to Filter - Stylise - Glowing Edges. Use these settings, Width 1, Brightness 18, Smoothness 11. Click OK. Ctrl I to invert then Ctrl Shift U to desaturate. Change Blending Mode to Soft Light.
3 Select Background Layer, Ctrl J, drag duplicate layer to top of layer stack. Change Blend Mode to Hard Light.
That's it. You may have to adjust the settings but don't change the Paper Brightness in Step 1.
Have posted a before and after image, I think the sketch looks quite good.
