Figured I'd start with Old Faithful....if only the weather had cooperated.

Chas,
Growing up in Montana, Yellowstone was a handy family vacation destination - so my parents took us there a few times, and it became a favorite, magical place for me.
Your photos gave my memory a nice jolt... I can still recall the smells of the steam coming off the hot pools and mud pots. I have to get back there!!
Thanks!!

Chas, we were in Yellowstone last summer and I think I photographed that same buffalo! :p:D
Beautiful pix...but I really like the fall leaves against the mountains. Just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing! It's been so warm here in IL that our leaves are just now beginning to maybe, sorta, think about chaning colors...

Kev,
I'm glad you asked about Yogi....He's been relocated to the deepest reaches of the park
because of excessive pick-a-nick basket burglery....:D I did see Ms. bear and her cub way up the side of a forrested hill....out of range even for a 600mm tele lens! BTW Ranger Smith ran off with one of the waitresses from the hotel to parts unknown....:D:D

Chas,
My mistake; I assumed you had a gallery there because of the imprints on the ellowstone shots.
Thanks for sharing those great shots of the Park.

Tom,
Pixentral is used by most everyone that posts here because it's convenient and a free service.

Chas,
I understand now; I had no knowledge of Pixentral, and it seems I was missing out on a great resource. Now I just have to learn how to use it effectively.
Here's a shot I took while visiting Yellowstone last June

Great photo,Tom.
To keep the photos to a manageable size, try resizing the photo using save for web. I resize the longer of the two photo dimentions to 700 pixels. This works for me. I'll remember our trip to Yellowstone for the rest of my life.
