Hey forum:

I'm trying to cram for a job interview....I will be tested on Photoshop and Illustrator.....I've graduated with a degree in Web Development but it has been at least a year since I've dabbled with Photoshop or Illustrator...I realize that this is an area where one should keep up with practical techniques.....what could I possibly be tested on? I currently have Photoshop CS installed on my computer and Illustrator CS....just to play around, I have some photo images.....for something simple, I'm trying to figure out how to highlight certain colors so that the color in the photo blend uniformly...I ran across a tutorial on how to remove "red eye" which gave me a feel of how to manuver in Photoshop.....please respond

Help in Richmond :(

This is a Photoshop Elements forum. Elements does not have all the features of CS. It is the less expensive "little brother" general audience version. I am sure there are forums for Photoshop CS out there. Go to Adobes user to user forums. Or google till you find one that looks promising.

In the meantime do a google on photoshop and tutorials. There are tons of free tutorials out there. Look at the "helpful links" subforum on this site. You may find something helpful there.

Even though this is an Elements forum, someone here may be able to answer your question. Just not me. I am not sure I even understand the question.

Hi there ...

... and welcome to the forum :)

What sort of job is it? ... I really would think that they will test you on specifics related to the job. So if its a web design job then I would think that they will be testing your ability to use both Photoshop and Illustrator for web design.

Are you a member of NAPP ... if so then they have some good information on their site about the new features in CS2.

Do let us know how you go on :)

Thanks for you guy's responses.....from what I've been understanding, the job concerns Internet Project Management....I'm assuming that web pages are involved....I know how to do coding (HTML, etc...) and in a lot of cases, you really don't need to be really proficient in Photoshop or Illustrator....its just nice to know....I guess that basic modifications of photos is what I'm trying to refamiliarize myself with....thanks for the tip on the google tutorials...acutally, that how I found this Photoshop Elements site.....do you guys know of any other sites that help with Photoshop/Illustrator?

Hi ...

The NAPP forum is probably the best but you do have to subscribe to use that one.
The Adobe Photoshop User to User forum is OK but they are not always "user friendly" over there :(

There are a few Yahoo groups for Illustrator but I haven't yet found a forum :(
