I just finished the butterfly image with the butterfly frame. I love the colors. I used a kaleido scopefilter to make the frame.

Tina,
I love how the frame effect with kalidescope gave it a great look. The butterflies on the flowers are so colorful. Together with the frame it really stands out.

I have two different kaleidoscope things that I use, one is a plug in and the other is a stand along program I purchased. Both do different things so I like to use them both. It is really fun to see what you can come up with.

Those shots are amazing. I used to teach a Monarch butterfly unit in kindergarten. Every stage is beautiful, the chrysalis looks like a jade necklace. You have a wonderful composition.
Do they winter in your area?

They do not stick around here at all through the winter. They will group up and fly off soon. If you ever see them when they are in a big group of hundreds of butterlys it is pretty impressive. What do we call a group of butterflys? Anyone know that answer?
Thanks for the wonderful things that everyone has said about my photos. I felt like this one really worked out well.
