This is my first out of the frame attempt and it was harder than I thought . I had a hard time with the butterfly wings and getting close enough to them to remove all the unwanted color from the background. Not the best but a baginning point.

Tina, that is AWESOME!! Fantastic job! Love the way the stamens and pistils of the flower project above the image of the rest of the flower. GREAT!!!

Tina,

Your breakout photo is absolutely wonderful! You are right it is harder than it looks. I have tried it but finding the right photo for it is not easy (at least for me)

Photo selection is a big part of it I think. The butterfly one worked out good. I just took the photo yesterday at the Botanical Garden that is about 1 block from my house. The butterflies were more than happy to cooperate for photos. I am working on some of them for my gallery.

Tina, that's a great job.

The hardest thing for me with breakouts is trying to figure out what I want the canvas to look like. If I pick away at it long enough, I can get the selection to look OK. Then, I'm usually lost with ideas for the canvas and end up with a so so image.

You nailed it with this one.

Rusty :)

Tina, you did a fantabulous job! Funny, my first one was a butterfly, too. Yours turned out prettier.

Tina - that is great! You did good!!!

Another subject: How did you do your "ice flower"?

For the ice flower I used a filter called colorful center that made the color in the center of the flower bright and removed the color near the edges. Then I used a ice filter on it. The ice filter was somethng I downloaded it was called MezzoForce Ice. I have no idea where I found it and it was a plug in that I downloaded. I hope this helps. It was just one of those pictures that just happened when I was playing with filters.

Thanks, Tina. Is the colorful center filter one that you downloaded, also? I'll check into the ice filter. I really like the effect. :)

I love the butterfly breakout. The colors really make it pop out. Great photo to work with for this technique.

Ahh.....so we still haven't resolved the issues with the S5IS. We should get back to that one someday....:)

But in the meantime, your S3 is doing great - in your capable hands!:):)
