I have been unable to get my 10 free photos and the templates updates.
Has anyone had this problem and how did it get resolved?
After picking my pictures to update I get an error that says " Unable to connect to your Internet Service, check your connection and retry". I am always on the internet when I attempt to do this. Any one know?

The 10 free photos is a general offer available direct from Ofoto and is nothing to do with buying PE3. The offer is also available on any of the Ofoto country sites (e.g US & UK).

I suggest you go direct to the Ofoto site.

Thanks Mike I will go to Ofoto and get my prints. I am also concerned about the template updates. How do you get these if you continue to get the error message? Not a big deal but it should connect don't you think.

I haven't seen any link for Template updates, where in your version of PE3 is this?

Also, do you have a firewall? This may be preventing PE3 from connecting. I have Zone Alarm Pro which auto configures itself, sometimes this means it makes decisions you don't want it to! If you have a firewall, check that it is allowing PE3 to access the internet.

The icon is on the very bottom, a mailbox with the flag up.
Hover on it and " view notifications " is reveled. Click on it to get the free pictures from Ofoto and the template updates. Try this and see if it works for you Mike. As far as a firewall, I have Norton Interner Security, I think that takes care of that nonsense, as far as I know. My ISP also has a firewall. I don't know how to disable that to check it. Thanks
I don't see the free offer at Ofoto either. It may not be available there.

Ok, I tried the templates update and it worked... which suggests to me that something on your PC is blocking the connection - could be your firewall, or XP if you have SP2 installed. Also are you running any anti adware software like Ad Aware or Ad Watch? They can block access and updates (Ad Watch blocked updates to my anti virus program until I configured it).

Whatever you are running, PE3 needs full permissions otherwise internet access and updates any not work. I'm not familar with Norton so I don't know how or where to check permissions for individual programs.

The Ofoto offer is definitely on their website, but only when you open a new account and until 15 January 2005:

:lol: I do thank you for the information. I was able to disable the firewall in Norton and then PSE3 connected as you did. Got my prints ordered!
