Just posted a new one in gallery. It is a house on the lake colored sketch. The house on the lake is not far from where I grew up. Didn't appreciate the beauty of living in the country on the lake as a child,but as an adult your feelings get turned around.

Love the end result with the technique you used. You are right about not appreciating things until you get older. Read my quote at the bottom - that's about right, I think! :mad:

How did you make the frame. Care to share the steps you took for the frame?

Glad you liked it. Don't you love the quotes everyone comes up with under their signature. I used the frame in the Artworks>Frames>Vintage #03, but all 4 are really nice. I also created a new layer above it & used some grunge brushes all around the edge of the frame to add to it.

Christell, your watercolors (all of them) are really excellent. This last you added is so peaceful looking. Actually I enjoyed visiting your entire gallery collection, super-good work. Harvey

Thanks for your comments. Some photos just work with the technique you are trying to achieve and some aren't suited for what you want the end result to look like. I just keep playing around with pictures in my folders & see what works. This photo worked well as a colored sketch.

thanks alot for your comment. Now do you see why I wanted you to try your covered bridges in sketch? The effect most of the time comes out great.
