After using PSE 3 for years (not too well), I am upgrading after seeing PSE 5 in action. Which would be the best for me - PSE 5 or 6?
Should I download it to my PC, or buy the version in a box?
Suggestions are very helpful. Would the new version be seperate from my old PSE 3, or sort of "overlay" it?
Thank you!;)

I think Pse 6 is the better choice. It has new interface and a few new tools. But the main thing is it loads faster and the organizer seems snappier.

I've not noticed any reports that PSE6 is inferior to PSE5, so there's no obvious technical reason to prefer the latter. Indeed, at this point I would advocate PSE6 simply on the grounds that it has been written from the outset as a Vista compatible application and is therefore better future proofed against a PC upgrade.
However, you can probably buy PSE5 for less now that it's being replaced, and that's a choice only you can make.
My understanding is that PSE6 will sit alongside PSE3 - PSE5 certainly does. However, they can't share Organiser catalogs, so it's only the Editor that would remain useful in the long term.
If you get the boxed version, you get a distribution disk and a printed manual. If you download it, the manual's on disk, and you will have to back up the distribution file to protect against PC problems. Again, no right answer - your choice.
