Dining at McDonald's? Isn't that like business ethics or military
intelligence? Some great images, none-the-less.

ALEX B: Nice background recreation and train sequences. Love that cow-
catcher.
BARBARA W: Great variants for the Golden Arches and the train windows.
As usual, shading makes it cool. Love the depth effects in #3.
BEN M: The old photo look is well done -- is that fryer oil in the tank
car?
BILL Z: Nicely done combination of Challenge images
CHUCK F: Cool dining car relocation -- neat sparkles.
ELLEN H: Waiting for a train ferry? Could that be Anacortes?
KIM B: Have to love the guy walking into the Ladies Room -- a US
Senator, perhaps?
LISA B: Dr. Who meets Ronald McDonald?
MARIA EB: Ooooh, have to lay off the margaritas so early in the
morning. Nice shadow work on the snakes, though.
MARILYN L: I like the way you took the blacktop and built an entirely
new landscape from it. Jupiter fits right in.
MARK R: But where's the Starbucks? 'Cool' idea.
RITA G: Distort>Glass? A neat effect.
RED S: Loved those observations cars going through the Rockies. Who
knows what's going on behind those windows?

Bob, thank you very much for commenting! LOL, I just HAD to sneak that snake (and its clones) into this photo... :D

Your recreation of the train and passengers, the telegraph poles and the post office logo is brilliant! I like the way you isolate details that aren't easily noticed and create an entirely new image from them. :)

Thanks for taking the time to comment Bob. I had to work in last week's challenge somehow because I didn't get around to doing anything with it when it was current. Thanks again.

Thank you, Bob.
It's a canned Displacement Map from Adobe, called ROCK. Very similar to GLASS, but less uniform. And some fiddling to change the colors.
I had very little time last week.

Thanks for the comments Bob. It's funny, for when I ride a train my favorite pastime is to look at buildings and houses and wonder what is going on behind those walls. Now I know someone is doing the same to me.
I really liked your Santa Fe image.

Bob - A U.S. Senator??? (uh... that would be the other door, I think!):p

As always, I really enjoyed your images too! You and Steven must have something in common regarding your mutual love of trains!

I really thought everyone's images were wonderful this week! So much imagination and creativity!
