Hello, hoping there is somebody out there who can help with this problem. Today I tried to send a friend a slide show created in Photoshop Elements 4.0.

I've emailed slide shows before. But the last time I was using Microsoft's Outlook. I switched from Outlook to Thunderbird (Firefox).

This time Photoshop prompted me with an error message. It said I had to use Outlook as my primary or exclusive email, I don't remember which, and that it could not send the slide show unless I clicked OK.

Unfortunately I clicked OK.

This did not enable me to send the slide show. But it appears to have wiped Mozilla's Thunderbird off my computer, and all my email folders, too.

Outlook is now the only email account/carrier other than when I go online and send emails from there. I cannot see a way to add attachments of any kind while online with Mozilla Firefox.

First, I want to email slide shows when people ask for them.

Second, I don't like Outlook. I want Thunderbird back.

I can't send ANY email unless I'm online now, because the Send button on Outlook doesn't work! (That's a new one.)

And Thunderbird is GONE, or at least I think it is.

I have already shut down and restarted the computer, because in this short time (a few hours) Outlook managed to clog my computer with un-ended tasks. I couldn't even reboot. Had to pull the plug.

I'll post a similar message on Firefox's Thunderbird forum.

PS I need step by step instructions. Computer stuff does not come easy to me. But you probably figured that out already! LOL

Way back when organizer was Album (which I still use) there was an option to put email attachments in a folder (named by current date) if you had an incompatable email program. (I think My Pictures>Adobe>Email Attachments>date. )

When an email program or browser takes over it is usually just the default setting that is changed so your email folders and program should still be there.

I'm afraid I can't give you step by steps. You will have to wait for an expert. You should probably give a few more details to get the best info.

Windows XP or Vista, Outlook or Outlook Express, which version, which version thunderbird, etc.

Someone told me that Adobe is designed only to work with Outlook or Outlook Express. Is that true? Why? Will it be changing anytime soon? Because Outlook and Outlook Express are a pain.

Thanks Karin Sue. Unfortunately, my Photoshop has the Organizer, not the Album. I think I have Windows XP. It came with my new computer one year ago. I don't know what version of Thunderbird I have or had. It was installed by somebody else about two months ago.
