I purchased this new MacBook 3 days ago after my old Toshiba Satellite broke.
Now I wanted to install the Adobe Elements 2.0 that came with my Canon 20D (almost 2 years old) on this new laptop. The CD can be recognized but that is about it, I cant go deeper into it than the language selection.
The CD says it is for Macintosh too.
now what?????

On the box, does your version 2 list the system requirements? It may have been created for OS 9 (Classic). If so, the new MacBook won't be able to install it, since Classic isn't supported on the new Intel machines.

No it does not say anything but I guess you are right with what you say. Now since I have a license number on the box, is it possible to download an updated version somehow or do I have to purchase a whole new program?

If you go with an updated version, you will need to purchase the product for full price. If I'm wrong on that, I'm sure someone will correct me. :(

Hi ...
I have PSE2 installed on OSX ... I haven't tried in on our Intel Mac but it should run OK on Rosetta :)

EDIT: ... I just tried installing it on my husband Intel iMac. I put the disk in and then looked at the disk ... all the bits showed and so did the installer. Double clicking on the installer gave a message about classic so I gave up on that.
... BUT then I single clicked on the Yellow Sunflower icon and opened up that folder. In there is another installer ... double clicking on that installed PSE2 just fine.
