8mm film to PSE4 for prints?

I have approx. 23 rls. of 8mm film that includes many rls. that were taken during the yrs. 1954-1956 in Korea. I would like to have these converted to DVD so that I could use PSE to make prints & enlargements. I know that the quality may be suspect but is this possible? Thanks for the help.
