Wendy,

Sorry.
That seems like discrimination. How much more could postage be ?
It cost them 60 cents to send mine. If they wanted to improve sales and customer relations, everyone should have access.

The link at the bottom of the Photoshop World webpage doesn't respond for me. Do you have to be a member of NAPP to get this free CD?

MikeH
September 25th, 2005, 02:29 PM
Betty,

No... the only condition is that you live in the US or Canada ( :( ).

Do you have a pop-up blocker on your pc?

Mike

Betty,

I filled out the same form at another site (I couldn't remember where) and at that time I wasn't a NAPP member. I already had a tablet, but filled out the questionaire as though I was interested.

Thanks so much, Mike! That was the problem. Then when I was directed to the page with the form to fill out, I unblocked there, too, and the form came up. The pop-up blocker concept is a good one to know. Thank you!

I wonder what it is about the UK market... most offers from the likes of Wacom and Adobe are US / Canada only. Sales of digital cameras in the UK now outstrip film by 15 to 1 and at least one UK High Street retailer has stopped selling film cameras.

You'd think that they'd be striving for a higher profile beyond trial software and demos as magazine freebies... :?

Mike,
The concept that corporations have the right to manage comes up periodically at work. The other side of the coin is that they can mismanage also. I think the marketing people need to learn how to think outside the box. Most large corporations are waking up to the fact that there is a world wide market out there and if they expect to grow need to address that issue. Too many are looking at short term profits.

You know this may be a good time for the PSE magazine to feature a coverdisc on their next issue! How about including copies of this disk so we all get them in the mail? Maybe it would be worth asking an extra $ for postage or something.
Or if someone's interested in doing copies and a couple of bucks for their time. Assuming the cd shows anything of interest anyhow.

Everyone,

This may help as far as what the CD contains.

Some of this is available as tips on the Wacom site.

Note: The video portion is 6 min. of Scott and 22.5 min. of Dave.

Pauline and Others

Your not alone. I wouldn't dare take a picture of my work area. If you've seen the commercial of the guy surrounded by the room full of STUFF, that could be me. My wife is constantly at me to organize.

BY THE WAY: I added a note to prior post about the video.

:) :)

The only part of my work area that is tidy is the computer itself ... and on that I have an almost empty desk top. :) :)

I was surprised today to find an e-mail from Wacom wanting to know if I had recieved the CD. Besides acknowledging, I added a footnote for them to pass to their Marketing people that they need to address the Photoshop users outside the US & Can. do to the fact I see a lot of complaints on the forums. I guess, it's wait & see.

Jodi,

If you are using a Mac, my guess is that the Javascript that makes the form on the page is incompatible with your browser. If you're using Safari, make sure it's the most recent version -- if it's Firefox, version 1.07 will work. If you're using the awful Internet Explorer for Mac, dump it for one of these.

The website I work for is having a heckuva time with Mac users....the javascript isn't working for anyone with a Mac and IE for Mac. :(

Wendy
September 27th, 2005, 04:40 AM
Karoli ...

Jodi is a Windows user :)

For Mac users the link works fine on Camino too ... I didn't think that there were any Mac users still using IE as it doesn't work on OSX???
