Photoshop Elements 6.0

Hi All,

I just purchased a template that uses layers which consist of folders sets and am having problems using it with Elements 5.0.

Does anyone know if Elements 6.0 supports layers that use "folder sets"

Clora, hello and welcome!

By "folder set", I think you're referring to a layer set or layer group. These are created in full Photoshop but can only be used after being simplified in any version of Photoshop Elements.

Here's an excerpt from the PSE 6 owner's manual:



layer group
A collection of layers saved with a Photoshop image. When you open a file with a layer group in Photoshop Elements, individual layers in the set are hidden in a read-only folder. To edit a layer group in Photoshop Elements, you must first simplify the layer.

Thanks!!

This particular layer(s) is supposed to allow me to select the background color (from various colors available). When I 'simplify' the layer I loose the the various color options for the template.

I guess I'm out of luck!
