I once lost some very good photos because I moved them from one folder to the other thru Windows XP instead of Elements. The organizer could not find them again after that. Now, I am paranoid and the only way I've found to move multiples, such as collections, is to go in individually and bring up each photo, edit mode and then save into new drive (or flash drive, etc.). I'm sure there is a simple solution to this. I just don't know what it is. I've looked through the books and can't find this. Thanks for any solutions anyone might have. Jeanine

Hi Jeanine,
I normally use folder view in Elements when I want to move stuff around. When I have the files I want to move in the larger pane I just drag and drop to the folder I want them in :-)

You can select multiple photos in the photo well then choose file>move from the menu and browse to the folder you want them in.

Your description of opening then saving to a new drive sounds like what you may want to do is make copies. You can select multiple photos in the photo well then choose file>export from the menu and browse to the folder/drive you want them copied into. The copies will not be in the catalog but the originals still are.

Thanks for your hints. Karin, I think your solution fits what I've been trying to do. I wanted to store multiple photos on a separate disc or drive but not lose the ones catalogued. I tried this and think it will solve my problem. Thanks for your help!!!!
