Hello all,
I have created a small gallery for our family private pages hosted by our ISP. Once created and working, how can I add to it without having to create another gallery. Many thanks, Ananda.

Hello, I managed to work it out, so for anyone else who wants to change their gallery it is really so simple - I could kick myself. All that's required is to add or delete photos as needed then recreate and overwrite the original gallery. Then upload the modified files to your website. Ananda.

Hi Wendy,
I'm finding this program totally fascinating and have found some really good tutorials by Jay Arraich - I'm still surprised when I follow the steps and everything works out! Is's keeping my 67yo brain quite amused.
I've been trying to upload a card I made to Pixentral but find that it fills the whole screen instead of just the little canvas provided.
The image is .jpg,5x7 inches at 250 resolution. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong please? Thanks, Ananda.
Sorry, here is the link -http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?pic=1fuWZEZeSGtR6uDBnH5lbDGcAuFHM

Hi Ananda
When you upload to pixentral you should use the "Save for web" option, with the long side being about 700 - 750 pixels and the file size in the 100 -150 kb range.
If you are using a card from the creations area, I'm not sure if you have that option. If not (you did say you saved it as a jpeg), you could reopen it in the editor and use the "save for web" from there.

Hi Ananda ..
Glad that you are enjoying using Elements ... Jay site does have some good tutorials.
To use Pixentral:
First resize your image using "save for web"
Set the longest side to 750 pixels
then adjust the quality slider until the image is around 150K.
and save it with a new name.
Then upload it to Pixentral ... hope this helps :)

Yeah, that's much better! Link-http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?pic=1n1LEOs70FAy74IkXsZz4X4Sgpo8O.
The picture of my grandaughter is a scanned photo - any advice on tweaking it? I've already used autofix but there's a lot of highlights or reflections on her face! Thanks, Ananda.

Ummm it was 1.45 am in the UK :)
Ananda ... I can't get that last link to work.
When you post the link into a thread hit the return key before you paste the link in and then hit the return key afterwards too.
You don't need to type in anything before or after it :)

Ananda,
You might want to learn some basic html. There are a bunch of free tutorials on the web.
Then you can make a master page to link to several different web galleries, adding a new one with each new event.

Karin Sue, thanks for suggestion. I have a beginner's book on Html and CSS that I've used to compile a private site. Just learning at the moment but will continue to practise. Ananda.

It's fun isn't it?
I did a family reunion page on our web space from our isp. I bumped into a size limit. (I downloaded photos from 3 different family members) There is only so much space per email address. We are allowed 7 email addresses but you can't port space from one to another. I ended up making a new email address/web space and put all the latest reunion photos on that one. Just needed to use absolute rather than relative urls to jump from one to another. The site works seamlessly. I figure I've got another 5 years worth of reunions that I can put on the isp space. Then I start poaching from relatives' web spaces.
Something to keep in mind as you become more prolific.
I just have a bare minimum of CSS. I need to sit down and study that one of these days.

Yes, it is great fun.
I only get 10 Mb with my account with 5 Email address, and short of paying an extra fee I don't think I can get more space with a new email account. I may have to look at poaching too is necessary. Thanks for the tip. Ananda.
