I know it's supposed to be easy to export video clips from PRE4 to YouTube, but I'm wondering if it is just as easy to export to other sites as well? I have an account at Smug Mug and I can have small video clips (MPEG-1 format) and I'm wondering if anyone knows if PRE4 will work with other sites besides YouTube.
Thanks!

Check out the Premiere Elements 4 Share Center description currently online:
http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/premiereel/features/
What has me wondering is the the following sentence:
"Broadcast far and wide uploading your movies directly to YouTube or your personal sharing site."
Given for Premiere Elements 4, a "built in YouTube" output with optimizing and formatting for YouTube. Direct connect so to speak. BUT, as for "personal sharing site"???
I suspect the catch is that the "directly" in the sentence applies to YouTube and not your personal sharing site????
The Adobe sentence is a wide open sentence. I will try to find out the details today:
(1) If you can get this Share Center direct feature including the optimization and formatting for Smug Mug (which I see requires MPEG 1 format)...I doubt it. Will you be happy with the MPEG 1 quality????
(2) Or, you do the optimizing and formatting for Smug Mug (conversion to MPEG 1) and can upload directly from Premiere Elements 4 to Smug Mug AND/OR you do the optimizing and formatting for Smug Mug (conversion to MPEG 1) and upload the saved version from your hard drive to Smug Mug.
To be continued....

Thanks for your research, ATR. I purchased the new bundle from Adobe this morning (I will get it eventually, so I may as well just get it over with!) so soon I will be able to get my hands on it and figure it out. I also signed up for a free YouTube account, just in case. I don't really have movies anyone but family would want to see (and I often wonder about them!) but once in a while I want to share something at work and we have a really strict "censor" on what websites we can view-somehow I don't think YouTube is allowed (they even block National Geographic. . .). I'll have to check it out next time I'm at work. I can go with YouTube if it's easier and better quality video-I just thought it would be neat to have everything in one place.
Thanks again!

This is the update that I prepared before I saw your last post. You will probably have the answer for us soon. Looking forward to your report.
Here is the update that I prepared:
I did some more looking around. It appears that, for Photoshop Elements 6 and photos, Smug Mug is a clear option offering.
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/family/partneroffers/overview/index.html#smugmug
Although I have heard no problems for video to Smug Mug from Premiere Elements 4, I would have to get a good look at the Premiere Elements 4 Interface and view the actual options offered before I know for sure.
It should be a short time before the “pioneer” Premiere Elements 4 users fill us in on the hands on answer.
I worry that I might get into the pitfall similar to the old issue of DVD-VIDEO requiring a software in addition to Photoshop Elements to get the Photoshop Elements slideshow as a DVD-VIDEO.
I will post if I get any better info.

Thanks! I contacted SmugMug and this is what they told me:
"Thank you for contacting SmugMug. We were recently informed by Adobe
that the SmugMug support in PSE6 is still included. I don't have any
information on PRE4, but I wouldn't count on SmugMug support in there,
because the format we're currently using, is kind of outdated. It's
MPEG-1 and I'm not sure if this is supported at all in this program."
