I come across this plug-in for Photoshop today - wondered if any of you might have tried it? And if so what you thought of it. http://www.medialab.com/sitegrinder/

From the site:
SiteGrinder is a Photoshop plug-in that you use from within Photoshop. It understands your design, it knows how web pages should be built, it builds them for you.

SiteGrinder can do almost everything you’d want. SiteGrinder doesn’t just build pages, it can build entire sites. It supports styled text conversion, scrolling text, hyperlinks, drop down menus, full support for galleries, forms, contact forms, Flash slideshow creation, and much more.

If you know HTML you can incorporate your own HTML or CSS into SiteGrinder created pages.

SiteGrinder output works in all the major browsers and is always valid XHTML 1.1 and CSS. It automatically re-uses graphics, merges them and minimizes page sizes.

Jane--I've never used it so can't speak to it's advantages. It looks a bit pricey unless you're setting up a complicated web site/album and you're determined to do it within PS.

Depending on what you're wanting to create, there may be cheaper (i.e., free) ways to create a photo web site.

Jalbum (http://jalbum.net/) is free and can create lovely photo album sites.

Nvu (http://www.nvu.com/) is a free, open-source web site authoring program.

Both of these programs are highly rated, and did I mention, free?

Cool - thanks for the links. I don't have Photoshop, (yet...) but the idea of being able to make my creations into a webpage was very fascinating.

i've heard of sitegrinder and often thought about buying it myself, too bad there doesn't seem to be anyone here who has tried it first hand. so, wags, i'll let you be the first person to plunk down the money. (i hate to part with cash) .. lemme know how it goes :p

I used it to build www.elementsforworship.com and it was super easy!

Are you telling me it works with Elements! I thought I'd have to get photoshop first, and I was having a hard enough time coming up with the money for that.

By the way - nice page.

That's right, You can use Photoshop OR Photoshop Elements. You don't need full PS.
