Kimi, do you know if Hawksmont brushes will work with PSE4? I hesitate to download them if they won't work for me. Thanks!

What a diversity of images! I'm wondering if I followed the directions correctly.
Kimi-I like your images a lot! The scrap paper shows up so much better on Pixentral! It's great.
Pink Pepper, I liked the second one better but liked them both.
Bamagirl-I like your dragonfly!
Shalb-I love yours! The brushes are put to great use here. Makes me want to go get them!

Thanks for the nice comments. Thanks a bunch kimi for doing this every week. It’s literally the highlight of my week! Sometimes I just run out of photos to edit and need some inspiration.Plus I always learn so much. I also really enjoy seeing what other people come up with. I love how we interpret everything so differently. As always nice job everyone. Martha, you have to go get those brushes. They are Gorgeous.

Martha... there is no right or wrong in this class.
All you were supposed to do was get your marching ants and fill it with this brush.

Dry Media Brushes, Pastel Medium Tip, #29.

In a variety of colors. But some of the best pieces come from using your own plan. :D

I have been trying to make some scrap elements and have been playing with different ways to colorize brushes. I thought it would be a good way for me too see what others come up with. I would love a nice watercolor effect. You see... it is all purely selfish. ;)

This is my first attempt at the homework and I am having a bit of trouble deciphering some of the instructions.

"Stamp on a black layer"
Does this mean that my foreground color is set to black so that my stamp is black? Or does this mean that I fill my new layer with black and then use the stamp on the 'black background'. If so, what color should my foreground color be?

Hi Allison

You were the first to catch that... It should say. Blank Layer.

The color you won't matter because you are going to hide that layer after you get your marching ants and fill it is with the different colors from the brush you picked.

Hopefully this helps.

Okay, that makes me feel so much better. I had been creating a new layer (transparent) and then just doing one stamp.
