Rob,

You need to add all three slide shows to the timeline, then set DVD markers so that you can jump right to the beginning of each one from the menu.

If you want three discrete items on the Main Menu, use "Main Menu" markers at the beginning of each clip, and place "Stop" markers at the respective ends.

If you want to allow the three to play consecutively, leave out the "stop" markers.

You will have to use a DVD menu template which has enough Main Menu buttons for your needs. If you have PSE4, you can design your own menus and buttons...

I know this is very sketchy information... I hope it is enough to nudge you in the right direction. Post back when you get to a spot that you need more detail.

Byron,

Check me out on this....just a side thought on your comment about Photoshop Elements 4.0 and creating your own DVD menus....

It is my understanding that you have to have the specific combo of Photoshop Elements 4.0 and Premiere Elements 2.0 installed on the same computer in order to get the DVD Menu Wizard to show up under Create in Photoshop Elements 4.0.

Unless you meet that requirement, no DVD Wizard, no creating your own menus from scratch from this combo perk.

Thanks for the info it worked as you described.

What if i wanted to create 3 different completed DVds and then want to make all 3 dvds available on one dvd (these are just short 20 min dvds)???

I have PrEl2 and five versions (1 - 5) of PSE loaded on this machine. PSE4 is the only version which has the File > New > DVD Template... option.

As I do not have any other version of PrEl, I am unable to determine whether PSE4 would offer the DVD Template Wizard when the PrEl version is other than 2. I had thought that the DVD Templates created by PSE4 would work in any version of PrEl.

I simply do not know, since I do not have the ability to test with another version of PrEl, so I am glad that you raised the issue.

I do not believe this is possible with Premiere Elements.

You might want to poke around muvipix.com and see what the denizens, there, have to say about this request.

Byron,

Thanks for the correction. I never had Photoshop Elements 4 and always thought that Wizard was under Create. It is good to know that it is File/New/DVD Template. I have Premiere Elements 2 and have my eye on a clearance Photoshop Elements 4 (for DVD Menu creation wizard).

The Adobe site is undergoing a face lift that is taking forever to "wrinkle out", so I cannot get this link...

Basically, it says that, starting with the Premiere Elements 3.0 version, those DVD Menus need to be in PAL whether you are a NTSC or PAL person.

Rob,

You could always rip the VOBs from the DVD-VIDEOs using Premiere Elements Media Downloader to get them on the Timeline and on route to a composite DVD-VIDEO. BUT, I think there may be an issue with getting the DVD menus traveling intact.

If this is case and you do not mind making a new DVD menu system for the composite DVD-VIDEO, then this may be something for you to check out.

Thank you for that link - I was able to access and read it - very helpful about the PAL format for v3+.

PSE4 allows one to select NTSC or PAL size when creating DVD Templates. I may investigate further to be certain that all of the layer sets and sublayers are created per the PrEl3 requirements.
