I am half way through a project on PE3 and it has suddenly developed a bug. When I hit enter to render, it just jumps to a certain place on the timeline and automatically starts playing the movie! It was working fine last time I worked on it. Any suggestions? There are un-rendered parts all through the movie now, whereas before it was all rendered. The problem started when I tried to re-render a part I had altered.

Just a few quick checks:
1. There are "tab looking" icons on the top of the Timeline. One is positioned on the left at the beginning of the Timeline. The other is usually positioned on the right at the end of the material on the Timeline. Check out this right tab to make sure that it has not become repositioned somewhere in the middle of the material on the Timeline (namely, where you have the hang up).
2. To render or not to render....usually you can use the guideline...red line above video on Timeline = Render by pressing Enter in Edit and green line = OK. Does the material that you say remains unrendered have red or green line above it?
3. If these quick checks do not help, we probably should go into the specific content that is not being Rendered, along with some other possibilities.
