I have just succeeded (to my immense amazement and delight) in creating the photo cube that is in the Kelby Down & Dirty Tricks book. When it indicated to go to Render<3-D transform to create the basic cube, I noticed that there is also a sphere. I went back after to try to "play" with that a little, but I just couldn't make anything happen--like wrapping a photo around it. Can anyone tell me some things that you CAN do using the sphere--and also, IS it possible to wrap a photo around it? (I know it would be grossly distorted, but it would just be fun to experiment and see what happens). I thought that I could so something pretty with the gradient tool, but the color just seemed to lay "flat" on it--lost the look of a sphere. Thanks for your help..

I don't know much about 3D.
Here is some info on it.
It's for Photoshop but it still may be helpful.

Yes! That looks very interesting--its packed full of info--I just printed it out and now I'll go "play." :-) Thanks so much for taking the time to get the address for me.

Gmak,
I know how you feel after making the cube.
I've recently done one my self. Could you post one at

so that we can enjoy it.
You can view mine at my gallery, see below.
