I want to print for my office a LO I did and can't figure out to resize it so it all fits. Maybe I can't? Or maybe it should have been done in 8.5 or 8x10 to begin with? I've tried a couple of scenarios and it isn't working. Am I supposed to have something "unchecked" to get it to the size I want to print?

If you try to print it at A4, it should allow you to scale to fit.

Hi Norma,
From File > Print window, click the dropdown arrow next to "Print Size" and choose "Fit on Page." It won't change the square page into a rectangular, but it will resize it as large as it will go and still fit on your page.

When you print, let's say using a 8x11.5 borderless photo paper and select to fit page, you'll get a 8x8 print...if you select to print a 5x7, the LO will print as a 5x5. Dont' select "crop to fit" then it will crop your nice square layout. because your original is a square 12x12, you can print any size as long as it is square....you won't need to resize it through PSE...just when you are setting up your print....

Another option - don't you just love all the options in PSE :)
Image > Image Resize
Make sure all the boxes are checked and then you can select what size and resolution you would like. You can then do a "save as" if you want to keep a copy of the image at the size you selected.
I do this rather than using the "save for web" when I want to upload something to share on-line or by email.

Are you printing on good photo paper?
If so make a new document that is the same size as the print area of a standard sheet for your printer (Approx 8x10.50 for me). Then drag your layout onto this and use the move tool to resize and position it. Then in the leftover rectangular strip you can design a little bookmark. (A row of kid or pet faces, a saying in a pretty font, etc.) I hate to waste photo paper.
