I am making a short film in premiere elements 2.0 and want to add a simple animation. I have spent a lot of time creating the images for the sequence in illustrator CS2 and when i add the images to the film they lose a load of quality and look blurry. I have tried rastorizing and different types of file but the same keeps happening. Please can someone help.

First, I have Photoshop Elements 3.0 and Premiere Elements 2.0 and do not have Illustrator. I do know how to make a simple animation in Photoshop Elements 3.0, but never tried importing it into Premiere Elements 2.0 until your question appeared on the scene.
When I made an animated gif in Photoshop Elements 3.0 and imported the saved version as is into Premiere Elements, what a mess. Horizontal lines and otherwise unwanted banding. Reverse Field Dominance and all that business did not resolve the issue. The key to success for me in this mini project was right clicking the animation on the Timeline and then unchecking the "Frame Blend Option".
I am still searching around for some documentation for your specific question, but this little technique worked for me in my mini test.
Let me know if it helps any.

Thanks for the help.
We tried everything and eventually because it is part of a film, we rendered the whole thing and viewed it on a different computer and it turned out well.
It's good to know there is help out there.
