Having been an Elements 2 and 3 user I recently decided to purchase Photoshop CS2. I assume several of you PET members use Photoshop as well as Photoshop El. I’m looking for resources that you would recommend for Photoshop. Forums, such as this one for Elements, web sites, online classes, or books, etc. I’ve noticed that several of the authors write or participate with both Elements and Photoshop. I’ve purchased Kelby’s CS2 book. Thank you for any suggestions that any of you might have.

I just got CS2, too. I'm also a member at NAPP, the above link. Hope this helps.

I can also highly recommend the NAPP site. It's run by the same folks as this site - so it has video and web tutorials, downloads, offers, a gallery and forums... and the excellent Photoshop User magazine each month. The site features (among others) Scott Kelby, Matt K and Dave Cross.

Just this is THE site for Elements 3, the NAPP site (www.photoshopuser.com) is THE place for Photoshop...

Thanks Jill and Mike! I really appreciate your suggestions. Jill, I will join NAPP. Why did you decide to purchase Photoshop? A particular feature, special price, or just wanted to have more options if needed?

I wanted more features. Then, I got the email from them offering a pretty good deal so decided to go for it....

Hi there ...

I too am a member of NAPP and think that it is worth joining their site ... but I also think that its well worth staying a member here. Although the tutorial here are written for Elements the ideas still carry forward into CS2 .. so there is lots that is useful :)

I just recently got CS2 because I wanted to learn how to use channels, the pen tool and a couple of other features. I am going to join NAPP. I just picked up the September issue of their magazine and want to try out a couple of things. I agree with Wendy though that this forum is very helpful and I will still be using PSE3 for a lot of things because it is more user-friendly (IMO) and because it is where I learned how to do so many things and am still learning.
