gena,
I agree with you.
I don't trust any wireless connections so It was nice to take this laptop outside on the deck (While we still have this nice weather here.) and veiw the new lessons after downloading them onto the hard drive. Then refresh my memory (mine, not the computers) by reveiwing previous lessons.
Please, we need the ability to download lessons onto our HD as we have done in the past..............

Hi...
My log-in to the lessons has expired so I can't check this for you. I imagine there was a problem with the link. I suggest you check back tomorrow.

I feel the same way. I like to be able to download the lesson and take my laptop to work during the and work on hte lessons during lunch. I am very disappointed that this option has not been removed. Please let us know if this is permament or a temp glitch?

Ok... I managed to get in... must be my typing
The download links are missing from both the Quicktime and Windows Media Player formats. I'll drop the team at PET an email and ask them to look into it.

It's funny because on lesson 7 the bonus is still showing the download links.

In the meantime you can download the videos by finding the file in your temporary internet files and saving it to a permanent location. One method for Windows users is given in the Video FAQs:

What operating system are you running - Windows or Mac?
Do you have Quick Time Pro by any chance?

Mike,
I am running windows xp and no to the quicktime pro. I do not have a problem finding the movie clips in the subscriber area and saving them, just can't locate the on-line clips no matter what I try.

Jacque,
It definitely works with the on-line training... I just did it with Lesson 11. Clear your temporary internet files then try again.
Let me know how you get on...

I didn't try lesson 11 but the ones I've tried no longer have the download option on the photos or the videos (will that be returning?) and I can't figure out the back door method Mike linked us to (but that must be me...).

Mary,
I've had a few emails on this outside the Forum over the past 24 hours. Here are the instructions that everyone got to work:
1. Clear your temporary internet files, this will make the search quicker
that's all. In Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options and click
the "Delete Files" button.
2. Then go to the video that you want to download, click on the link to
watch it and let the video play all the way through to the end.
3. When the video has finished playing, go to Tools > Internet Options again
and this time click on the "Settings" button.
4. In the next window, click the "View Files" button. This will display
your temporary internet files. The video will be the largest file there by
far. It will have the Windows Media Player icon next to it. The name will
be something like:
?op=download_file&id=CPTE-DPW&shortname=photoworkflow&day=11&file=day11&type=wmv
(This is how Lesson 11 shows up)
5. Right click on this file and select Copy, then go to a permanent Folder
location in Windows and paste it there.
Do let me know how you get on...

Mike, in your response to Mary of Sep 25, 2005 at 3:04 pm, thank you, thank you. I was having a nightmare because when I went back in to review a program, I would get no picture and sporadic sound - whatever was wrong.
I followed your directions and everything worked fine. Again, thank you.
