A while back I posted a link to a great breakout tutorial on www.atncentral.com (http://www.atncentral.com) to produce a breakout picture with a difference:

I've finally managed to take a photo that I think will work well with this technique, but it seems to have disappeared from the website! Did anyone print off the instructions or have any clue as to where I might find it again?

Bayla,
There is a video named border breakout from August 26,2006. This may be what you're looking for.

Bayla- Try searching for "out of bounds" - I got a link but then atncentral had some down time and I couldn't go any further.
edit- here is an action- out of bounds by Terry Alford- it's the fifth down - I didn't check to see which versions it works with or even if this is what you were looking for.

Hi ...

I just tried that one and its an ordinary breakout for Photoshop ... Umm there are so many manual steps in it that it would have been quicker to do it yourself :)

Found it!!:D

http://www.atncentral.com/tutorials.htm - it's the fifth one down on that page.

I've printed out the pdf file for safe keeping....now I can get started!

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Glad you found it.
I do have it printed out too, in case it is ever needed.

I printed out also. Don't know how much good it will do me though I only have Elements. I like the breakout, at least I have something to look at when I try to recreate the technique. That's taking the breakout in a whole new ballgame, looks awesome.

I also only have Elements (and only PSE3 to boot!) but I think from the look of it that it is doable in PSE even though it is written for Photoshop. Often it's just a question of 'translating' and finding where things are in Elements. For the page curls I'll either cheat by using ready made ones or follow a page curl tutorial....

Anyway, don't expect to see my effort for a few weeks - we're going away on Monday for a fortnight and I'm somewhat busy at the moment!

Ah.. so thats why I struggled. I was using elements and thought it was me too dumb to find the parts they were talking about.
