PDF files sent to PSE 5.0.2

Hello All-I am running PSE 5.0.2 with Vista Home Premium. I also have Adobe Reader 8.1 installed to receive/open .pdf text files. For some reason, pdf. files sent to me by email are received/opened by PSE 5.0.2 instead of Adobe Reader 8.1. PSE 5.0.2 . PSE 5.0.2 menus do not support these files and I cannot create a letter size document that is readable. Does anyone know how to eliminate text files being sent to PSE 5.0.2 instead of Adobe Reader 8.1. I can open,read or print .pdf documents from various websites with no problems.There is no free support for the free Adobe Reader. Thanks.

These are steps for WinXP, hopefully they still work with Vista.

Navigate to one of your PDF files
Right click on it & from the context menu choose Open With
From the next menu, select Choose Program
From the window that pops up, select Adobe Reader
From that same window, click to checkmark Always Use the Selected Program to Open this kind of file
OK

That should do it, unless Vista is different.
