Pixels and the Polygon Lasso

Hi- I'm a newbie with a newbie question... :oops:

In playing around with APS Elements 3 I have been able to figure out some things for myself, but when using the polygon lasso I keep getting a prompt saying:

"No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selection edges will not be visible."

I have been able to use this tool on the same picture before but now this...and I can't figure it out. Your help and assistance is appreciated. Oh, and by the way - you have my permission to beat me with the newbie bat and break it down "Barney style"... :lol:

...after you select the poly lasso tool look up into the 'feather' option and be sure that is set to zero. Sometimes if it is set too high and the selection is too small you will get that message.

Thanks, that worked... what does the promt mean, anyway?

A feather softens the edges so the higher the feather the more the pixels are spread apart thus creating that annoying message on small selections.....basically Elements can't see it.
