IN 5.0 - Do the shapes that are added to pop up in the right column need to be jpeg or png?
I have loaded many additinonal elements and shapes to:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations
somehow, not all of my shapes and graphics are coming up. is there a max?
i do have the trial version, maybe that is why.
i would love to know if anyone else is experiencing this.

Custom Shapes are .CSH files and are added to Elements in two locations:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\artwork\shapes
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Presets\Custom Shapes
From the first location, they show up in the Artwork & Effects palette under Artwork.
From the second location, they are accessed from the Options Bar for the Custom Shape and the Cookie Cutter tools.
If you add any other types of files to these folders, they will not show up as shapes in Elements. There are many Custom Shape files free for download on the web. Try Googling free photoshop custom shapes and you should find some.
Custom Shapes can be made in the full version Photoshop, but not with Elements. I created some shapes from dingbat fonts in Photoshop and made them available for download HERE (http://www.modempool.com/dday/dianas_webpage_000002.htm).
After adding new files, you must restart Elements before they will show up.
Here is an article explaining about addons and where to put them. There are also some downloads there, too.

Well I'm still in the "Amazed" state here. Thank you all for the links.
AND the tutorials I'm saving. Hopefully, I'll get a move on soon.
