View Full Version : working from saved psd photo in elements 3

Could somebody please explain. I saved a picture that I had blurred the background as a psd file but I would like to do some more work on it. A message saying to simplify layers comes up. Is it alright to do that. I'm a bit worried about losing what I have already altered. I am really new to all this and would appreciate some help. Thanks.

Hi Mahjong, and welcome to the forum.
At what point did you get the request to simplify? When you saved the image or when you opened it. And what types of layers do you have in the image.
Usually that message comes up if you try to add something to a text or custom shape layer. Once you simplify a text layer, you no longer will be able to edit the text.
Give us a few more details or post an example of your image and we can diagnose it better.

Thankyou Diana. When the picture comes up it just says 'after view' and I can't open it to send. I'm in a quandry.
