When I bought a Canon 8600F scanner, included w/the unit was a copy of PSE 4. This was several months ago. I have lost my registration info for the PSE 4 & would like to find out if in fact I am a registered user. I did receive an e-mail from Adobe asking what changes I would like to see in PSE 6. I would assume that this indicates that I have registered however I have been unable to find anything confirming this. Does Adobe have e-mail support for confirmation of this question? My concern is that when it comes time to upgrade I wont have the s/n etc. required to do so.
Any help w/b appreciated. Thanks

If you go into Help>System Info it will show you the Serial Number. I think that's the number you would have registered with if you did register. But you can use that number to upgrade.

Thanks Tony, I followed what you said & I find no s/n. There are 'Core Versions & Language Versions' numbers. Would those suffice?
The envelop holding the PSE4 disc does have a long number on it. I am assuming this is the s/n. Correct? Thanks

I think Tony may have mistyped. Go to Help>About Photoshop Elements The serial number should be on there at bottom right, together with whatever name/organisation you registered it under. (At least, that's where it is in PSE3 & PSE5). But I think the number on the envelope is the same.

Chiming in as a PSE4 user....
Help > About Adobe Photoshop Elements does indeed display the serial #.
During any upgrade process, the software typically detects the presence of prior versions, so upgrading should be a snap whether you've registered or not.

Hi ...
The "upgrade" of one version of Elements to another version of Elements is not an "upgrade" of the software (the new version will be a standalone which installs on your computer) ... it doesn't need a previous version installed to work. The "upgrade" just indicates that the price is cheaper because you already have one version of Elements. :)
Next ... the splash screen gives you some informarion about your serial number BUT it only gives you the first 20 digits and there are 4 more that are not shown. The full number is stored in the registry :)

dales,
If you go to this Adobe site
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership/index.cfm?nf=1&loc=en%5Fus
and start an account with them you will be able to see what Adobe products you have registered with them under View Product Registration.
