(sigh......)

Hubby was working on our desktop that networks all of the computers in our house. Some how my E book drive has gotten renamed and all of my images are disconnected.

I am trying really hard NOT to panic.

Has this happened to anyone else before. Am I going to be able to rename the drive?

I am really hoping for some advice. :o

Kimi-
I have seen this happen when I move or re-organize my images from one location to the next without going through organizer. when you move images, or rename the folder/location of which your images have been housed, the organizer cannot find them any longer because it's know link is gone. The quick work around that I do is just reload them back into my organizer to re-establish connection. I currently have 15,000 images in my organizer and recently had to reconnect 10,000 of them by reuploading them. As long as you can still see your images on your harddrive....no need to panic. Just remember, PSE is just a piece of software...

Kimi,
Please excuse my ignorance. What is an E book drive? Is it an external hard drive?
If it is, it may have gotten plugged into a different USB port and gotten a new drive letter. That can be changed with no problem.
Please let us know, we'll take it from there.

Juergen...

Yes the E book is my external. (sorry, I should have explained better)

We were trying to add another internal drive, now my F drive which is where the external was says H. The removable drive now says F. How in the world do I change this back?

I'm not quite clear which one is which. But anyway, the drive letter of the new drive can be changed to G and the drive with your images can be changed back to its original letter (F?).
In Windows go to Control Panel, >Administrative Tools >Computer Management >Disk Management. Right click on the new drive and change it to G (assuming G is not taken already). Next right click on your external drive and change it to its old drive letter.

I should add that, if G is taken, you can rename the new drive to any other letter that is not used.

Hope everything is working out alright!
