when i open an image in editor workspace, whether coming from organizer or file browser, the image, which looks normal in the thumbnail, immediately turns into what looks like a negative in the editor workspace and i can't figure out why. this weird image is impossible to work with, unless i just trust the fixes, etc.
what's the problem&/or the solution?

hi jess, the first thing i would do is go to edit>preferences>saving files and check 'ignore camera exif' ..this used to be something you needed to download from the Adobe support site but they included it in this version...smart of them.
And if you haven't done so you need to calibrate your monitor with the ' Adobe Gamma' that was supplied with the app. It can be found in your control panel....follow the step by step wizard. ( assuming you are runnin windoze with CRT. If you are usin an lcd display there are other method that lcd users here can help you with.
Please post back if these two options don't fix it.

I manage to do this when I use the Ctrl-I option in the browser and hit it twice. The first opens the editor and the second switches it to a negative. Let's just say the third Ctrl-I switches it backe...
