Hello everyone,
Don't know what happened to my original post...it got deleted  and Cari had introduced herself to you all. And I know many of you have inquired me about my photos and the use of this action. It truely makes the digital darkroom fun....
Just added this image of my daughter chasing our bunny in the backyard to my gallery. She loves to get dirty!!! It was created using the one of my favorite actions, Classic Mystique (http://shop.purplecowgraphics.com/main.sc), in PSEv5. Cari has successfully converted this 120-step CS2 action to Photoshop Elements and is now available.

This is what the image looked like before:

If you want to see more examples, you can visit My Photos, or visit her thread on the mpix.com forum (http://community.mpix.com/forums/t/49460.aspx)... I'll also be adding more examples to my blog over the weekend, so stop by and visit me.

Thanks, Julie. Let's see, on average, 3 outfits a day and two baths... not to say that she loves to play in dirt, she also likes to eat dirt... Jack-jack is following suit.....

Well, as a consolation, it does help to build their immune systems. Do you just have the two at home?

nice way to really enhance that image. it does add a bit of mystery. of course there is no mystery about the (cute!) dirty seat.
thanks for sharing. elizabeth

Hi everyone,
Playing around again and thought I would try and renovate my daughter's photo from two years ago...I forget that I left the diffuse filter on my lens and hence the effect was too soft and not well focused.
Here is the before:

And here is the after:

I have to get that action. What a great effect and Maddie was just as adorable then as she is now.

DeeDee,
I ordered the action and installed it and it does not work. I can't get past the first step. I get "the command layer via copy is not available". Have tried many work arounds and nothing works. Last time it locked up my computer. Do you have any suggestions. I am using elements 5.0.

Hi Suzi,
Cari has been notified about this command....but there is a work a round. This command is Photoshop specific and unfortunately, PSE does not recognize this "layer via copy"....All you need to do is press, "Continue", and this is true for any pop-up message that comes up otherwise the action will automatically abort and revert back to the orginal image. Once you press "continue" the action will proceed. Now because PSE could not make a duplicate of your Background layer using this command, you will need to do that. Just highlight your Background layer, right click, and select duplicate layer. This will create a background copy layer. Now, to perform the lasso, make user you have the black box highlighted in Layer 1. Once you draw your lasso around the subject for Focus of Light, you can proceed to the next step. PM me if you have any further questions.
