Don't know if there is a standard for this or not, but I thought I'd throw out there and see if anyone knows.

If creating an image from scratch (in landscape mode) in PSE, what size should should I be using?

The image will be shown through a projector and I want to utilize the entire screen. I'm guessing that the image should be in proportion to what the screen size is, unfortunately I'm not sure what that is. But then again, I was wondering if there is a "standard" format size.

The only thing I have to go on is that pictures in Power Point show okay when I utilize the entire slide format.

I think I would look at the projector manual and see what the pixel dimensions are and use those. I think when I was putting together a show with a projector the projectors native resolution was 800x600 and that was what I used but that was a while back and the newer ones may be different.

David,
Some projectors are only 800 x 600 (the older or least expensive ones), but most others are 1024 x 768 (higher resolution). This matches the aspect ratio of most 'standard' monitors (not widescreen). I also do PowerPoint presentations and video podcasts (just started) using that 1 to 1.33 aspect ratio. (Do the arithmetic on the above resolutions and you will see that same ratio). I have not had an 800 x 600 projector fail to be able to show my higher res. PowerPoint slides, the image only becomes blocky, because everything with any detail at that resolution just is. Someone else here may have more information or experience....
