I had to reinstall Windows yesterday and I lost the Adobe Gamma file that I used to color my monitor. Can someone tell me which version of Elements it was in? Or, perhaps someone could email me the file.

Thanks for your help.

It's in all versions but in PSE5 it's not installed but it's in the goodies folder on the original disk (or download).

I looked in the Goodies folders of Elements 2, 3 and 4 and could not find Gamma. And I remember it being installed automatically with one of the versions, but can't remember which one. Any thoughts?

I thought all of them except PSE5 installed it automatically but I might be wrong. Hopefully someone knows.

I took a chance and installed Elements 2 and it did install Gamma. I just uninstalled Elements and Gamma remained.

Thanks for responding.

This thread caught my interest because I had no idea what Adobe Gamma is. I looked In Barbara B's Missing Manual for 5 and see, "It installs right along with Elements." (page 180)

She goes on to say that even though Adobe says it won't work w/LCD screens, try it anyway - it may help a little. She explained how to access via Control Panel...

Well, so much for that idea - I guess i won't find out if it does anything :p

Also, I have no idea whether that utility is in my Control Panel from an earlier version of Elements or if it was added by PSE5
