Downloading brushes for painting effect

The current issue of the newsletter has an article telling how to make a photo look like a painting. It refers to using downloadable brushes. In the site for downloads, none of the listed brush downloads seem relevent to painting or match what the article was talking about. Can anyone clarify what is supposed to be downloaded and how to do it without erasing brushes already in the program? Thanks!

If you go into the "Extras" area of the Subscriber area, there are downloads to accompany the Elements newsletter. Pauline's brushes are there under "Painting with pixels".
