Photo Bin won't stay open

I'm using PSE 3 and have been for about 5 months. For some reason my photo bin keeps closing and when I use the open arrow or drag it open it automatically closes. It was working fine earlier today and staying open but for some reason it wants to close all the time.

I've closed the program and restarted - still no good. I've shutdown my computer and restarted it and then restarted PSE but it is still doing it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

Have you checked the preferences? In PSE5, I go to Edit>Preferences>General and there is a box to check in front of "Photo Bin auto-hide". Make sure that is unchecked if there is that option in PSE3. Let us know if it works out.
