I hope this is the correct way to post this (in an effort to NOT hijack another thread) After reading this thread today: http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28180 I tried a little of this and a little of that and came up with this! Now I feel as though my eyes are crossed. You know, after you work on something long enough, and look at it too many times, you really don't know HOW something looks! SO - I'll just post this and see what, if anything, anyone thinks of it.

Yeah!! a trend is starting. Nice job Linda.... and no you would not have been hi-jacking. Someone has got to beat that Football thread (although I am contributing to the length of that one:))

Isn't this fun.. I found through playing around more with it today to avoid discoloration of your original color image caused by the brown layer, I've been optimizing the BW image and brown coloration...flattening the image. Then take the newly optimized BW brown tinted image and layer it over the optimized colored image and start the selection process. And yes, my eyes are crossed too.

Linda, great job. Absolutely adorable.

Denise, don't let Colleen hear you try to out do the football thread. You will be in big trouble.:D:D

Thanks for the kind comments on my photo. It's fun to try new and different things. Also, Denise, that tip about flattening the image will really help. Every time I try one thing, I learn something else - what a great system!

Very Nice Linda!!

I have book marked the thread .. this is something I would like to try. I don't have any cute babies to test it on though.

Oh sure, start a new thread. giggle. Good luck! Glad you were able to try it too. The picture looks great.

I wish I could critique better...but I'm learning too. And appreciate the input to follow other peoples trials. I think I've learned more about "layers" and its been a great learning experience for me.

It's fun!!
