dark pictures

I have some dark wedding pictures some are little fuzzy, What is a good way of lighten up the picture and take some of the fuzziness out and put some good color in the pic. Iam using the pse4. thanks so much for any help I can get..................And also so iam not real good with photoshop, so any real easy instructions would be great

Hi

There are a few was (naturally :rolleyes:) to lighten photos.

I like to use the levels adjustment layer.
Open the layer pallet and click on the half moon sort of symbol and choose levels. move the right slider left and it will lighten (I tend to play with all three sliders)

Or and easier way but less control
duplicate your layer and put the duplicate in screen mode. If it is still too dark, duplicate again. If it goes too light, lower the opacity of the topmost layer.
