dark pictures

I have some dark wedding pictures some are little fuzzy, What is a good way of lighten up the picture and take some of the fuzziness out and put some good color in the pic. Iam using the pse4. thanks so much for any help I can get..................

Corey,
One way to lighten a picture is open in PSE Editor.
1. At top click on Enhance> Adjust Lighting> Levels Under the black graph to the right will be a white triangle, click and drag this to Left until it is under the right edge or graph. This should have lightened the photo.
Zoom in until 100% magnification
2. At top click on Filter> Sharpen> Unsharp Mask (trust me) at this window there will be three choices.
Amount-------try 100
Radius--------try .5
Threshold-----try 0
experiment with the Amount and Radius This should sharpen your picture. Move cursor over picture, there will be a little white square box, place this over a face to see results in preview box
