Hi Gang,
Just received a message from Michelle (msbrad) and she asked me to pass along.....
We are having a fabulous time. Alaska is gorgeous! I've taken , ummmm...about 2,000+ photos thus far.
I appreciate your sending me Lisa's daily bingo names. It is rather difficult to get on line here on the ship, because..
the whole boat has a 256 bandwidth to share amonst everyone, and the ship crew. Now, they do not have any trouble
charging for the time, even though it takes forever (dial up is faster)-then you get cut off! and the minutes charge still counts.
I helped the internet in charge lady, deal (teach) with some rather newbies to a computer (oh my golly). Some actually thought me to be a genious! go figure.
This way she could get on to really helping those in need.
Helped us out...as somehow more minutes on our plan arrived, and she shared some of her real good photos with me(not asking any other
questions)
If you can, let both sites know, I'll get photos posted-when I can (probably at home). Thus far we've seen: bear, elk, bald eagle, gold eagle, salmon (red and silver-jumping on up the stream to spawn),seal, sea lion, and whales. and 2 BIG dogs. We've seen the glaciers calve (they are noisy-sound like thunder).
The temp. has been 5-7 c a lot of times. I just know that is right chilly. Since it is end of the "season" here...most "tourist" product to buy in Skagway, was all half price! Yippee, I spent money. :)
Met bunches of neat people from all over the world. Several have requested info on PET, and DDD-so I'm drumming up business.
Just finished having merlot in attempt to stay warm, while watching a glacier out the balcony. It didn't take long until the merlot was cold!
It was great to meet both Bonnie and Shari on this trip.
