I have just upgraded from PSE4 where I created HTML web galleries of photos of my son. I have quite a bit of control over the size of the photos that appeared in the gallery.

Now, in PSE5, when creating a Photo Gallery, I only get the option of Large Photos for broadband or Medium Photos for dial-up.

I have the large option selected, but the pictures are still too small for me. Any way to adjust the size here aside from what I'm seeing?

My parents (with going eyesight!) would greatly appreciate the help!

Last I heard different versions of elements will coexist on your computer without problems as long as you don't try to run both at the same time. So you can continue to use 4 for your web galleries.

Just watch that you don't get the catalogs confused.

Since I am on PSE2/Album2(XP) PS6(Mac) I am not sure exactly how 4 & 5 work.

My guess would be that you would import and process your images in 5, order them in a collection, then either move them to a folder or export with renaming to a folder. Then switch to 4 and import the folder contents and continue as you used to.

On the other hand, jalbum (jalbum.net) has been recommended on this forum as the best web gallery solution. Free software. That might be worth looking at if you don't want to deal with both 4 & 5.

There is a 'manual' way to change the size of the images when using PSE5. Create the web gallery and, depending on the gallery style, you will have an output folder structure like this:
C:\...\Untitled_Gallery\resources\media\08slidesho w\large (and other subfolders)
You can now substitute the images in the 'large' folder with larger sized images, which you have separately created earlier. Of course, the file names have to be identical.
